Track 1 Program

We will be arriving in Istanbul, Turkey early on Friday morning. After we acclimate (depending on time) we will visit the following Jewish sites in Istanbul: Galata (Galata Tower, Beyoglu, several synagogues), Zulfaris Synagogue, Balat (Ahrida Synagogue), Haskoy (Hebrew Home for the Aged, Komondo Mansion, Hebrew Home for the Aged), Sisle (Beth Israel Synagogue, Italian Jewish Cemetary), Haydarpasa (Hemdat Israel Synagogue), Kuzguncuk (general Jewish community), Princes Islands (synagogues on Buyukada, Heybelieda and Burgaz Adasi). Towards the late afternoon, we will begin preparing for Shabbat. Davening: Shacharit on the plane, Mincha 7:00 PM, Ma'ariv 8:30 PM. There will be a shiur between Mincha and Ma'ariv. Candle lighting is at 8:20 PM. We will be staying at the specialty (4 star equivilant) Yusufpasa Konagi Hotel.

Track 2 Program

We will be arriving in Tel Aviv, Israel early on Friday morning. After we acclimate (depending on time) we will visit the following sites: Old Jaffa, Jaffa Museum, Ramses II's Gate Garden, Eretz Israel Museum Complex. Towards the late afternoon, we will begin preparing for Shabbat. Davening: Shacharit on the plane, Mincha 6:00 PM, Ma'ariv 7:30 PM. There will be a shiur between Mincha and Ma'ariv. Candle lighting is at 7:28 PM. We will be staying at the 3 star Howard Johnson Shalom Hotel, right near the beach in Tel Aviv.
